A few years back I did read this in some book and that nobody had a choice except to just focus back on their efforts. To me, I started running at an age of 38 years and sometimes I did sometimes I did not, it was a tipsy and trusty kind of an effort. The reason focuses on running a distance, the goal of every day, but it changed the very day when I enjoyed running not as a goal but as a journey, started enjoying the faces of people and the new locations which I prefer to run on, not just running on the treadmill. A treadmill in itself is a discovery of such goal-oriented people who prefer other to also pursue the similar way. But its good we still have a freestyle running option
Every day I was thinking what’s the next result or say next goal and then it was not just one goal it became an everyday habit of having so many goals that keep popping in the typical checklist stuff. And that made me overwhelmed, underachiever, it was Like pushing yourself to some corner and all goals around you, you do not have a choice where and which area to move.
Every goal would look like a mirror, you would never know which is the best reflection of yours and in such a situation what happens is you go nowhere you stuck yourself to some place and which place is like a limbo living in real life
Imagine that your parents did an effort called Karma, for which you were the result, but did they had the choice on the result ie you? obviously, you are the best they could have. But did they had a choice whether it’s going to be a girl or a boy, They have no choice whether it’s going to be a single Twins, dark or white hairs, Even though Science has done a lot of research and development but still they can’t accurately predict what’s going to happen.
So here I come again back to detach yourself from the results
So here I come again back to detach yourself from the results
Imagine like this you always wonder when you start your journey in a car and you have a goal in your mind but while in the journey that goal sometimes vanishes and you focus on speedometer on the gears, on steering and obviously the music/talk show playing in your car as it comes. And that you lose your focus on the destination.
As a driver I do should I enjoy my driving, a cup of coffee, jazz the comfort of my body, the warmth of my car, or smile of your loved one, but what anxiety it would be if I just keep focusing on 'oh my god I need to go to destiny or this would happen', Imagine how you would have driven your car?
Detaching from the results make life so easy, which is contradictory to the very management theory of the western world which says keep focusing on your goals, it tells you to get it to or else what would happen in fact it just keep testing of your willpower and even if finally you achieve the goal you feel yourself drained.
So, friends, my take is whatever you want to do just have a little thought around your goal, start walking towards it and then simply focus on your walk the very next two steps and that would for sure that your journey enjoyable, full of fun and you keep learning, which direction you would like to go because now you are agile now and that’s what the software guys these days are following practice of agile development. I would continue this Section, but please let me know your thoughts on the same.
