Guru

Guru

Guru is a great Hindi word and which means teacher//Mentor in English ? No Not exactly and that’s why Guru is being imported  in English and is used frequently now
Guru for me is a combination of Master + teacher , which means a person who is Master of the subject and Teaches to the followers
In Indian mythology Guru has a special status equivalent to God
In Sanskrit below
"Guru Brahma , Guru Vishno , Guru Devo Maheshwara
Guru Sakshat para brahma , tasmein shree guru devo namah"
It means Guru is like the Top 3 God of Hindu Mythology , God (Brahma) who is architecture of the Nature , Vishnu ( God who cares for the nature) and Shiva ( God who destroys so it could be rebuilt) and thus I stand before him , but I greet my Guru first .

If such is the status and high value driven , why in India we have followed the Teacher System which is just one ray passing through the prism .
Indian System long has followed Gurukul System of Education ,where in a Disciple is not just doing a particular course but is being made to learn how the life to live and inculcate Values .
Guru takes care of each and everything of the Disciple and not just a subject . The Kings and their son all are being sent to such Gurukul a place where the Disciple stays , learns and grows for a period of 5 years or more . This is not a Boarding school where you just stay away from parents , but it’s a Complete Learning of disciple Personality, their why of Life and their Karmic Orientation
Indian Mythology is filled with such incidents where Shri Ram ( re-incarnation of Lord Vishnu) being a Kings of Ayodhyas Son was sent with his Guru Vashishtha where they not only learnt the art or science of weapons , but a complete life style changing and aligning the disciple with the right values .

In todays system of Education which is not our is drawn from western world where the disciples are made to cram only the subject matter which may or may not be useful to them in life and thereby producing a complete generation of unproductive disciples , which they have also realised and are now looking towards India . They further becomes teachers and again ruins the next generation . The Dedication System and trust System Never Existed between teacher and pupil or rather is very much dependent on teacher to teacher , or disciple to disciple . And that’s why you can see a few exceptionally bright students who have achieved something .

At this moment I would like to also mention how Swami Vivekananda along with his Guru Paramhans followed the tradition of Hindu Teaching System . World knows how Swami Vivekananda has completely taken the audience with the awe in Chicago Summit where he spoke long hours on Hinduism and people cant even move their chairs .
Such a kind of value driven system Hindu Gurukuls have created .

When my child is admitted to a school , his teacher only cares for his numbers and performance in a subject , I don’t mind that , but at a very early stage a pupil needs to be aligned with the values rather than teaching them English A B CD  . A School of my imagination would be a Gurukul which first put the values may be in terms of Picture and then ask them to understand how the Science or Arts works . Putting the Core Values becomes the platform or a pillars on which entire life building is built of not just a generation but for a family , society , city or Nation , Humanity as a whole .

When I say this I am deeply disheartened with the cases happening against women in Indian Society and others as well , they have been happening for long but now more prominent because of media , which is good but when you just punish a guilty , its not necessary that rapes would be stopped . Because non-value driven people would continue doing whats evil for society . And because of which you can see every Indian is blaming each other of not doing , specially the things they themselves have to do .

What one thing !

What one thing I need to do now , after doing which others thing may become un-necessary or very easy. Its that easy , I heard this one and thought this was one of the most easiest statement ever made to achieve anything in life . But theres a catch , the one thing which needs to be done , which means how to decide which one thing is there would you need to do and how would you able to decide or judge that particular thing which needs to be done . So I decided to define that life is a big thing , lets talk about small things , lets talk about various positions in life or various aspects of life first before defining one big thing in each aspect of life I was lucky to realise early in my life that whats your life goal , well it was the goal when I was passing through a particular part of my life , so when I was a kid , my life goal would have been how to crawl , when I started crawling my life goal would have been to walk and when I achieved walking goal the next goal was to

Detachment from result ? Is is possible in Today's world

Detachment from the Results? Is it Possible "You have a choice in your action but you do not have any choice on the result"   Dr  Sharma,  Shantikunj Haridwar, an Ashram in India followed by many. A few years back I did read this in some book and that nobody had a choice except to just focus back on their efforts.  To me, I started running at an age of 38 years and sometimes I did sometimes I did not, it was a tipsy and trusty kind of an effort. The reason focuses on running a distance, the goal of every day, but it changed the very day when I enjoyed running not as a goal but as a journey, started enjoying the faces of people and the new locations which I prefer to run on, not just running on the treadmill. A treadmill in itself is a discovery of such goal-oriented people who prefer other to also pursue the similar way. But its good we still have a freestyle running option Every day I was thinking what’s the next result or say next goal and then it was no
